Edit Your Captions
Editing captions allows you to fine-tune how your text appears in your videos, ensuring clarity and enhancing viewer engagement. To edit your captions, kindly follow the steps below:
Step 1: Go to Captions.
Step 2: Choose a caption that you would like to edit.
Step 3: Once a caption is selected, you can add emojis, videos, video effects, images and edit the text. For editing the text of the caption, you can use the Lock/Unlock Caption feature to edit a specific caption or you can edit all of the captions in one go.
- To change the caption settings of a specific caption, choose a caption from your timeline. After selecting a caption, click on the caption text on the canvas, then click the "Lock" icon to unlock it. Once unlocked, you can personalize the caption according to your preferences—whether it involves adjusting the font, changing the color, or applying bold or italic styles.
- Once the caption is unlocked, you can also move it to your desired position. Note: Only the specific unlocked caption will be edited; other captions will remain unaffected. Check out our article Lock/Unlock Captions for a more in-depth guide on how to edit specific captions.
- To edit the captions in one go, click on the "Pencil Icon".
- Upon clicking the Pencil icon, a range of additional options will become available for your use. These options allow you to modify the font, font color, highlight color, and other available settings for the captions. The settings applied to the caption will be applied to all of locked captions. Enhance Your Caption
Enhance your content further by adding videos, applying video effects, and incorporating images. This powerful tool gives you full control over your content, enabling you to create dynamic and engaging videos with ease.
Add Videos to your Captions
Step 1: Click "Captions" from the left menu
Step 2: Select the caption where you would like to add a video.
Step 3: To add a video, click the video icon, then select "Import Video".
After selecting Import Video a new window will appear. We offer Free Media that you can use, and you can also search for specific videos using the search bar.
To select a video, hover your mouse or cursor over the video. Two icons will appear; click the Preview Icon to review the video. If everything looks good, click the Check Icon or the Use button to use the video.
Once a video is selected, additional options will appear. Here, you change the settings of the video. You can Delay the video, edit the Duration, adjust the Volume, and select a Transition.
- Delay: Set the time delay before the video starts playing in sync with your caption. This feature allows you to control the timing of the video to match the caption's appearance.
- Ends With: Define how the video concludes in relation to the caption. This setting lets you specify when the video should stop playing, ensuring it aligns with the end of the caption. The options are Current Sentence, Custom Duration, and Another Sentence.
- Duration: Adjust the total length of the video display. This feature allows you to control how long the video remains visible.
- Volume: Control the audio level of the video. This setting lets you adjust how loud or soft the video's sound will be when it plays alongside the caption.
- Select Transition: Choose how the video transitions in and out of the caption. This feature allows you to apply different effects for smooth or dynamic changes between the video and the caption.
To adjust the start and end of the video click the number of seconds next to the video. Then, use the slider to set the desired Start and End points for the video, ensuring it fits perfectly with your caption.
To remove the video, click the “Clear” button.
To add your video, click the “My Footage” tab. Then, drag and drop the video into the window or click on it to import. Once imported, you can use the video in your captions.
How to Add Video Effects
Add visual enhancements like fades and transitions to your captions to make them more engaging and visually appealing. This feature helps your captions stand out and complement your video content.
Step 1: To add Video Effects, click the Effects Icon, and then select 'Import Video Effect.
Step 2: A pop-out window will appear where you can choose the Video Effect you want to use. To select an effect, hover your mouse or cursor over it and click "Apply."
After selecting a Video Effect, additional options will appear, allowing you to change or adjust the Delay, Ends With, Duration, and Volume. You’ll also find these settings when adding a video, as mentioned earlier in the article.
To modify the Start and End of the Video Effect, click the time displayed next to the Video Effect. Then, use the slider to set the desired Start and End points, ensuring it aligns perfectly with your caption.
To delete or remove the video effect, click on the "Clear" button.
How to Add Images or GIFs to Your Videos

To add images to your videos, kindly follow the steps below:
Step 1: Click the Image Icon, then choose between the Image tab or GIF tab. Next, click Import Image or Import GIF.
Step 2: A pop-out window will appear, allowing you to choose Free Media or import your own images. To select an image, hover your cursor/mouse over the image and click the Check icon.
To Import an image, click the My Footage tab. Then, either drag and drop the image onto the window or click the window to select and add the image.
After selecting an image, it will be added to your video. You can adjust the border of the image, resize the image, move the image, and remove the image.
To adjust the border, click the image and then adjust the border slider. You can also choose a different color for the border.
To resize the image, click on the image. Next is to move the corner handles so you can adjust them to your desired size.
To move the image, drag and drop it anywhere within the video.
There are two ways to delete or remove an image: First, click the delete icon while the image is highlighted in your video. Second, click the Image Icon and then click the Clear button.
There are also additional options for adding images or gifs to your video. You can add a delay timer, choose how the image or GIF ends, adjust the duration, and add a transition and transition audio.
To add transition audio, click the dropdown list beside the music icon and select 'Transition.' This will add audio that plays when the image appears. You can adjust the volume of the transition by moving the volume slider.
Change the "In Animation" of your image. Choose between Scale, Left, Right, Top, Bottom.
Change the start and end times of the image by clicking on the time of the caption and adjusting the slider to set your preferred start and end times.
