Lock/Unlock Captions

Want to edit the text of a specific caption or move it to a different position? No worries! With ClipMagic's Lock/Unlock caption feature, you can easily adjust the position or edit the text of a specific caption.

  • To do this. Select a caption from your timeline, click on the caption text on the canvas and then click the "Lock" icon. This will unlock the caption.

  • Once the caption is unlocked, you can move it to your desired position. Note: Only the specific unlocked caption will be edited; other captions will remain unaffected.

  • You can also change font style, font color, highlight color, and scaling of a specific caption using this feature.
    • To change the Font Style, click the current font style, then choose from a wide selection of available options.

    • To change the Font Color, click the "Text" color. From there, you can change the font color of your caption.

    • To change the Highlight Color, click the Highlight color button.

    • Clicking the Option Icon opens the caption settings window, allowing you to customize the captions with a wider range of settings. Check out our article Change the Settings of Your Captions to know more about caption customizations.

    • Change the scaling or text size of a specific caption by clicking and holding the "Sizing Handles," and then dragging to adjust accordingly.

  • If you want the caption you changed to be aligned with other captions, simply click on the lock icon to lock the caption and it will be back to its default options.

Tip: Apply this to other captions as well to highlight key details in your videos.
